As of the writing of this Newsletter, the topics of today's show are certain but the participants still in formation.
The topics will be the latest in hydro-fracking--that earthquakes have been very reasonably linked to fracking activity in several different states and countries--and this is all the more reason that Gov. Cuomo is to told, respectfully, that fracking is "off the table". We may have State Assemblyman Daniel O'Donnell, who has been pro-active in protecting the State and its people from the potential of fracking as a guest. We're waiting to hear back from his office.
On the larger issue of Climate Change, weather pattern disruption and Global Warming (or "Grilling" as Robin Williams called it...) we have invited Phillip Ardanuy, a Raytheon Principal Engineering Fellow, Chief Scientist and Solution Architect, Mission Operations Solutions (MOS).
Dr. Ardanuy received his doctorate in meteorology from Florida State University (FSU). Dr. Ardanuy began his college studies at George Washington University, and completed his his Bachelor and Master of Science meteorology degrees at FSU.
Dr. Ardanuy’s professional affiliations include the National Academy of Sciences/National Research Council Committee on Earth Studies, the American Meteorology Society (AMS), NOAA Science Advisory Board’s Environmental Information Services Working Group, Maryland Space Business Roundtable Board of Directors and president emeritus, UCAR Weather Coalition, SPIE Remote Sensing System Engineering Conference, NOAA CREST Institute External Advisory Board, and chair of the AMS Satellite Meteorology, Oceanography, and Climatology committee.
He will be joining us from the annual American Meteorological Society Conference in New Orleans.
