Anders Lewendal, the home builder responsible for the first documented home ever built entirely from products sourced and/or manufactured in the US. The home will use less than half the energy of average new homes its size, and the home will cost about the same as other homes of similar size and quality. Anders is founder of The 5% Club, asking every consumers and businesses to reallocate just 5% of their spending from foreign made products to those made in the US.
A 5% shift just in the residential building industry would add $14 billion to the US economy every year -- enough to directly employ the entire population of Providence, Rhode Island, at about $40,000 a year.
