July 21, 2010 This week show focused on the financial reform regulation signed into law this week by President Obama. In particular, we revealed that Wall Street actually got exactly what they wanted with the bill, in the form of a guarantee that the U.S. Treasury would supply the money to the FDIC to pay off the losses incurred by a big bank when "unwinding" its operations during an FDIC takeover, while simultaneously claiming that taxpayers would never again be "asked" to bailout the banks. Host Walt Thiessen called this one of the most brazen, bold-faced lies ever told in human history.
Also, guest Hank Albarelli joined us again to discuss the role that the CIA might be playing in the recent outbreak of dengue fever which has infected 15% of the population of Key West, FL as he provided fascinating details of how the CIA experimented with this and other diseases in the 1950s on unwitting Florida residents for many years with the aim of weaponizing insects to be released against foreign enemies.
