Lee Papa - "The Rude"
Lee Papa is the political blogger known as “The Rude Pundit”; he has tens of thousands of weekly readers and is a regular guest on the nationally-syndicated radio program, The Stephanie Miller Show. Margo Jefferson in the New York Times called Papa “a tornado of a writer” and “a child of Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor and Hunter S. Thompson.” He has also performed to sold-out audiences in the U.S. and Canada.
Way back in the 1990s, Papa produced and hosted Radio Free Theatre, a radio drama program in East Tennessee that was a cult hit. He wrote the scripts for “The Rich Flemball Show,” a monthly parody of a certain right-wing radio host.
His new book, The Rude Pundit’s Almanack, is being published by OR Books in early 2011.
