Discusses the importance of Pharmacy compounding. Since the 1930s Pharmaceutical companies have standardized medications and manufactured them in bulk quantities. Not everyone can used these standardized medications. It does not leave room for adjusting dosages for organ operation level in young children, the aging populations and those with allergies. Pharmacy schools used to require compounding cases. In the last 20 years, the study of compounding has become less common place.
