The climate front lost a brave and fierce warrior this week with the passing of Dr. Stephen Schneider, a highly regarded climate scientist, courageous cancer survivor, beloved professor at Stanford, author, speaker and dedicated activist in the ongoing effort to increase awareness and action to fight global warming. His friend and fellow climate scientist, Ben Santer, of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, remembers Steve’s life and legacy, as does Paul Erhlich, a fellow Stanford Science Professor of Schneider’s and longtime friend.
