Today's radio show is a Roundtable on the subject of Consciousness & Money. Mitchell is joined today by two professionals who have been dealing in these two domains for decades.
Timothy Karsten, with a law degree from USC Law Center & a degree in Political Economics & International Relations from Berkeley, has been working with business and non-profit leaders, wealthy individuals and families to help them challenge limited beliefs in their roles as cultural and civic leaders and stewards of wealth, especially related to business, philanthropy, economic, and environmental sustainability.
Timothy has been a student of philosophy as well as the most recent advances in physics and brain science to better understand the complex interaction of human potential. Timothy is also the author of Destination Freedom Newsletter.
Mitchell is also joined today by Stuart Valentine, President of Centerpoint Investment Strategies & who is an active participant in the Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) Movement. Stuart is involved in asset management, deal structuring & placement for Green Private Equity.
Based in Fairfield, Iowa, home of the Transcendental Meditation global movement and Maharishi University of Management (MUM), Stuart has been a practitioner of the TM Siddhis program for 30 years. He serves as adjunct faculty in the MUM business department and an active member in the meditating community.
Stuart is also Co-Director of The Sustainable Living Coalition (SLC), a non-profit whose mission is to educate & demonstrate workable models in sustainable living. A graduate of the Evergreen State College’s Renewable Energy Systems program in 1982, Stuart also earned his MBA from the Maharishi University of Management in 1986.
Coming to understanding of how to transform business from a destructive to a constructive force for good, how profit can be measured in multiple ways (triple bottom lines) and not just money, and bringing awareness in a deep way to our business life and monetary transactions is the subject of today's show.
