One of the best shows and guests so far, in terms of
the descriptive flow of the state of the world we live in and
how people interface with it.

I have to wholeheartedly agree that younger people
have a limited grasp of how to navigate and actually realize
the Computer(s) can be used as a tool to help create
but the demographics around here, show they use them passively
like TV and the Pinging factor is high with demands of call-response, and this isn't SHOUT by the Isley's I'm talkin' bout.
My woman's young girl who is 8 yrs was complaining about this factor earlier today, which had my disheartened..because it wasn't a realization on her part that the instant communication choice, should be a choice, but she was sad her Father did not reply to her multiple emails, while she literally had just gotten off the phone with him. We tried to break it down for her..it's a slow and slightly complex process.
Hey, the other host I think her name is Madja?
Well, we be Biking here, listening to Vinyl and even cassettes still..haha
i have even Built a solar portable music player.. I know cassettes will eventually die because of the magnetic flux, but Vinyl, aside from heat or being broken, will last indefinitly. It's actually the most versitle format..and it will be playable when there is NO Power. Check out Utoob for things like, "listen to your records with an elastic band, a cup, and bamboo toothpick."
Vinyl forever and again, great guest and show..a fun time.
I'm sure you guys know The people over at Gnostic Media.. I tried to get Jan on PRN through a friendly suggestion... what do you guys think?

The discussion briefly reached some interesting points regarding schizophrenia, acid trips, and mindfulness. The psychiatric term for being aware of one's own hallucinations (typically auditory), by the way, is "insight". I know from personal experience that some versions of cognitive-behavioral therapy explicitly embrace Buddhist mindfulness as a technique of being aware of one's responses and thereby being able to actively address them accordingly. I particularly enjoyed Rushkoff's point to the effect that we cannot truly get the benefit of a hallucination without recognizing it as a hallucination. In sum, the discussants were definitely onto something.
