Interspersed with poetry and musical pieces, topics include: the original inspiration for and history of Mother's Day; explorations of the Celtic goddess Danu; the Asian goddess Kuan Yin; Greek goddess Gaia; Mary, the mother of Jesus, in Christianity and Islam; and the roles of Sky Woman and First Woman in Native American creation stories.
