The Green Front - 02/09/11

I am devoting several programs to the topic of Preparing For Peak Oil in the wake of hearing two presentations on the topic that shocked even this battle-weary environmental journalist. First up on The Green Front is Asher Miller, Executive Director of The Post Carbon Institute. We'll talk about what to expect now that the national debt has far exceeded GDP and our demand for oil is quickly outpacing our ability to sustain consumption. Buckle up, this show - and subject matter - are not for the weak of heart nor meek of mind!

Never listened to your podcast before. Heard your theme song and thought you were living in dream land. Then you redeemed yourself about having doubts about saving it all. My feelings are we would be lucky to just limit the deaths - if we had a gov that would accept things as you do.

But alas, acceptance is not popular with the people. They would just vote the honest politician out and put in another one that offered them the lies and delusion of saving it all and making America #1 again.
