Massey Energy, the 4th largest coal company in the world, has been called the single most destructive coal company in history, with over 60,000 violations in the state of West Virginia alone
Now an independent State probe in West Virginia has concluded that Massey was responsible for the April 2010 explosion that killed 29 underground coal mining workers and “profoundly reckless” in elevating its drive to produce profits above worker safety.
