Rupert Murdoch’s  News of the World Phone hacking scandal, possibly the greatest press scandal the English-speaking world has witnessed, is threating to bring down the Murdoch empire, the most dishonest, unprincipled and corrupt of any in the history of the English-speaking world. Numerous arrests, hearings and investigations in Great Britian have led to further suspicions of  wrongdoing in the United States.

Karl Grossman, Professor of Journalism State University of New York/College at Old Westbury has long taught journalism courses which focus upon Murdoch, discusses whether the scandal could bring Murdoch and his management circle down and lead to a break-up of his media empire.
