Guest: William Arkin

William Arkin is a political columnist and journalist for the Washington Post, which has been associated with for over a dozen years.  As an expert in military policies and national security he has advised the United Nations and the US Air Force, as well as non profit organizations.  In the past he has served in the Army Intelligence community. He has worked with the institute for Policy Sutdies, Greenpeace, the Natural Resources Defense Council and Human Rights Watch, in addition to serving as a military analyst for major media outlets such as NBC News.
 
His recent book, co-written with two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Dana Priest, is “Top Secret America: The Rise of the New American Security State” – a culmination of many years of research and investigation into an enormous network of government agencies, private industry firms, and 850,000 individuals within this web holding top secret security clearance
