Dahr Jamail is an activist and independent award-winning journalist who reported "unembedded" from Iraq from 2003 - 2005. His Dahr Jamail's Dispatches can be followed on his web site - dahrjamailiraq.com.

He's also an author, his latest book titled, "The Will to Resist: Soldiers Who Refuse to Fight in Iraq and Afghanistan."

Since the spring Gulf of Mexico disaster, he's been reporting regularly from affected areas, producing the same honest journalism he did on Iraq.

The ongoing Gulf disaster will be discussed.

Another great interview by Mr. Lendman. Thank you! Dahr Jamail is a gem of a reporter and I always read his articles when out searching for the truth and the REAL news on the internet. (Mr. Lendman's too, of course.) I only have two small comments to make. #1 -- It was the first I'd heard about the bouncing cheques being issued by BP. Wow! And then the company even has the nerve to threaten to reduce its compensation program if it doesn't get its way with continued drilling. Amazing! #2 - I too am disappointed that Dennis Kucinich did a flip-flop-a-doodle on Obama's health care reform bill but then I try to temper my dismay by the fact that Mr. Kucinich was taken for a ride aboard Air Force One just prior to the vote ... and he did NOT have a parachute. I think he was set up (the bill would have passed without him anyway) in order to sully his reputation and bring him down to a level closer to what is found in the rest of the Congress. I'm willing to cut him some slack because there is not a single other sitting representative who expresses as well as he does what my own core beliefs are about what good government could and should be.
