Dr. Michael Hudson is one of our nation’s important economists and Wall Street financial analysts. He is currently the President of The Institution for the Study of Long-Term Economic Trends and was the Chief Economic Policy Advisor for the Rep. Dennis Kucinich’s 2008 presidential campaign.  Dr. Hudson has served as an advisor to the White House, State and Defense departments at the Hudson Institute, in addition to the United Nations Institute where he became a specialist in global economics.

Ian Henshall is a British based investigative journalist and author whose book “911 Revealed: The New Evidence” has raised a lot of voices across Europe.  The London times noted the detailed scrutiny Ian applied to the official government versions of 911 and the inconsistencies discovered throughout it.  The US State Department must have been fully alarmed by it since only 5 days after the book’s release it went out of its way to attack it. The book gives clear explanations about  explosives used to bring down the towers, a military drone craft and missile hitting the pentagon, the controversy over cell-phne calls… the inconsistencies in the official stories about the hijackings.

Barbara Honegger worked as a researcher at the Hoover Institution before joining the Ronald Reagan administration as a researcher and policy analyst in 1980. While working for Reagan she discovered information that convinced her that George H. W. Bush and William Casey had conspired to make sure that Iran did not release the U.S. hostages until Jimmy Carter had been defeated in the 1980 presidential election.

In 1987 Honegger began leaking information to journalists about the Reagan administration, which was published in her book October Surprise.

In recent years she has been tackling the 911 issues, with a particular emphasis on looking at the 911 attack on the Pentagon.

James Menzel-Joseph is one of our nations more insightful artists and sculptors, who began receiving critical acclaim at the age of fifteen. He is related to Germany’s most prolific nineteenth century artists Adolph Menzel. Dr. Nassir Ghaemi is a professor of psychiatry, specializing in depression-related disorders, at Tufts University Medical School. He is director of the Mood Disorders program at Tuft’s Boston Medical Center and also serves on the faculty of Harvard Medical School.

 

Dr. Ghaemi has published over 100 scientific articles and written or edited several books. In addition to being a certified psychiatrist, he holds master degrees in philosophy and public health.

He has traveled to Chernobyl which resulted in his founding a chapter of the International Chernobyl Children’s Project and continues to network with anti-nuclear groups across the nation protesting the relicensing of old decaying reactors and efforts to shut existing ones down.  He is among the experts that appear in Knocking on the Devil’s Door.

Guest: Senator Mike Gravel

Senator Mike Gravel served as the democratic US Senator for Alaska between 1969 to 1981, having served on committees of Finance, Interior, Environment, chairing the energy committee and participating in the subcommittees addressing environmental pollution.  In the early 1950s he was a special agent in the Army’s Counter Intelligence Corps.  Sen. Gravel is perhaps best known for publishing the Pentagon Papers which led to the litigation of Gravel versus the US resulting in a landmark Supreme Court decision.

He is now spearheading a new organizational campaign  -- the Citizens 911 Commission Campaign – that would put on state ballots an initiative that would authorize a new investigation into the 911 events and that would be vested with grand jury powers.

Guest: Susan Lindauer

Susan Lindauer is a former U.S. Intelligence Asset who covered anti-terrorism at the Iraqi Embassy in New York from 1996 up to the invasion. Independent sources have confirmed that she gave advance warning about the 9/11 attack. She also started talks for the Lockerbie Trial with Libyan diplomats.  Shortly after requesting to testify before Congress about successful elements of Pre-War Intelligence, Susan became one of the first non-Arab Americans arrested on the Patriot Act as an “Iraqi Agent.” She was accused of warning her second cousin, White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card and Secretary of State Colin Powell that War with Iraq would have catastrophic consequences. Gratis of the Patriot Act, her indictment was loaded with “secret charges” and “secret evidence.” She was subjected to one year in prison on Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas without a trial or hearing, and threatened with indefinite detention and forcible drugging to shut her up. After five years of indictment without a conviction or guilty plea, the Justice Department dismissed all charges five days before President Obama’s inauguration.

 

She is the author of a recent book “Extreme Prejudice: The Terrifying Story of the Patriot Act and the Cover Ups of 911 and Iraq”

Professor Thomas Naylor is one of the country’s most independent-thinking economists. He is a professor emeritus of economics at Duke University where he has taught since 1964, and is the founder of the Second Vermont Republic -- a nonviolent citizen’s network and think tank advocating for the breakup of mega-nations such as the US, Russia and China. The Republic calls for the creation of  small, democratic, affluent, socially responsible nations with a high degree of environmental integrity such as Sweden, Finland and Switzerland.   This year Time magazine named the Second Vermont Republic among the world’s top 10 aspiring nations, along with Scotland, Quebec and Kurdistan. 

Prof. Naylor has written numerous articles in academic and popular publications, including the New York TImes, Christian Science Monitor and The Nation. Among his many books is “Affluenza: The All Consuming Epidemic” (which deals with the illness of over consumption and co-written with John de Graaf who was interviewed and filmed for our forthcoming documentary on poverty in America) and his book “Secession: How Vermont and All Other States Can Save Themselves from Empire”
